Founded in 2015 by certified laser engineer Mike Wallin, Black Iron began with a clear goal—to create products that stand above the rest. From day one, Mike partnered with co-owner Jessi Wallin, combining their individual strengths to build something greater. While Mike focused on laser engineering and production management, Jessi laid the administrative foundation that allowed the business to grow and thrive.

What started as a modest shop in Glenville, MN, quickly outpaced its original space. In 2021, we expanded to a second Glenville location, and by 2023, Black Iron moved into a significantly larger facility in Albert Lea, MN to meet growing demand.

From small hobby projects to large-scale commercial production, Black Iron leverages cutting-edge technology, advanced software, and continuously upgraded equipment to deliver precision and quality at every scale.
